União Das Freguesias De Nossa Senhora Da Tourega: Essential Megaliths and Heritage

This region contains the largest concentration of megalithic monuments in the Iberian Peninsula. Highlights include the Almendres Cromlech, a complex of 95 granite monoliths, and the Great Dolmen of Zambujeiro, one of the tallest prehistoric burial chambers in Europe. Beyond its prehistoric roots, the area features the 16th-century Renaissance architecture of the Paço de Valverde and the Convento do Bom Jesus, alongside the impressive spans of the Água de Prata Aqueduct, which historically supplied water to nearby Évora.
