Sveti Stefan

Once a traditional fortified fishing village, this small island and settlement evolved into a significant cultural and historical site. It served as a capital for surrounding villages before its transformation into a luxury hotel destination. The site is connected to the mainland by a narrow tombolo and is characterized by its historic architecture and seaside scenery.

The area includes three ancient churches and is known for its pink sandy beaches. The settlement functions as the Aman Sveti Stefan resort, offering exclusive beaches and high-end hospitality. The natural beauty of the Adriatic coast is particularly prominent during the golden hour, when the views of the fortified island are most distinct.

While the island itself serves as a resort, the surrounding coastal area remains a prominent landmark. The settlement has a population of approximately 411 residents and maintains its status as a tourism-focused location. Access to certain areas and beaches is exclusive to the resort.
