Passo di Giau

Situated at an elevation of 2,236 meters, this pass serves as a geographical link between the Val Boite and Val Cordevole valleys. The landscape is characterized by its position at the foot of the Nuvolau and Averau peaks.

The pass is a notable location for road cycling and is recognized for its challenging ascent. It is a regular feature in major professional and amateur cycling events, such as the Giro d'Italia and the Maratona dles Dolomites.

From this vantage point, several prominent peaks are visible, including the Marmolada, Tofane, and Cristallo. The area is used for hiking and sightseeing, offering panoramic vistas across the surrounding mountain ranges.
