Dating back to the 1950s, this Buddhist temple showcases an amazing array of depictions of Buddha - probably around 13,000 pieces.
The complex actually consists of five temples, four pavilions, and one pagoda. A vegetarian restaurant also operates on its premises. No monks live here, the place is maintained by non-clerics. (Watch out for rip-offs, the monks asking for money here are fake.)
It's quite a long climb to the monastery, but the path is lined with intriguing golden Buddhas and definitely worth taking. Take your time and enjoy the scenic views as well.
Monastery: daily 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Vegetarian restaurant: Fri - Wed: 10:30 a.m. - 4 or 5 p.m.
Free admission.
