Natural Wonders of Madagascar

Madagascar’s isolation has created a laboratory of evolution home to thousands of endemic species. This collection spans the island's diverse ecosystems, from the Jurassic sandstone canyons of Isalo and the rainforests of Ranomafana to the alkaline waters of Lake Tsimanampetsotsa. It includes significant geological features like the volcanic massifs of Montagne d’Ambre and the rugged cliffs of Cap Sainte Marie at the island's southernmost tip. These sites preserve critical habitats for rare lemurs, unique birdlife, and prehistoric baobab forests.
