Historic Mosques of Medina

Medina’s religious landscape is defined by historic mosques that mark significant milestones in early Islamic history. This collection includes Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, the Prophet's burial place, and the Quba Mosque, the first mosque ever built. The list also features Masjid al-Qiblatayn, where the prayer direction changed toward Mecca, and sites like Masjid Al Khandaq, which commemorates the Battle of the Trench. These structures showcase diverse architectural styles, from the Ottoman design of the Anbariya Mosque to the massive modern expansions of the Prophet's Mosque.
