Ulcinj Municipality features a diverse landscape on Montenegro’s southern coast, ranging from the 13-kilometer sandy stretch of Velika Plaža to the 2,500-year-old Ulcinj Castle, a former pirate stronghold. The region is home to Valdanos, an ancient olive grove with over 18,000 trees, and the medieval ruins of Shas overlooking a bird-rich freshwater lake. Coastal highlights include the sulfur-rich springs of Zenska Plaza and the unique river-island ecosystem of Ada Bojana.
