Arosa Bear Sanctuary

Opened in 2018 in cooperation with the animal welfare organization Vier Pfoten, this sanctuary provides a natural habitat for bears rescued from poor living conditions. The project prioritizes animal welfare and education over breeding, offering a protected environment situated at 2,000 meters above sea level.

The facility includes an adventure trail and an observation platform for viewing the animals in a mountainous setting. The terrain is designed to mimic a natural environment, supporting the rehabilitation of the resident bears.

The project serves as an educational resource regarding species-appropriate husbandry, highlighting the history and rescue stories of the animals.
