Plaza de Santa Cruz

This rectangular square occupies the site of the former Church of Santa Cruz, a Mudejar-style structure originally built over a synagogue. The space features a central garden with orange trees. At its center stands the Cerrajería Cross, also known as the Cruz de la Sierpes, an intricate wrought-iron cross dating to 1692. This monument was donated by a local brotherhood of locksmiths at the end of the 17th century.

The site holds historical significance as the burial place of the painter Bartolomé Esteban Murillo. As a designated Cultural Heritage Site, the square is open to the public and remains a key landmark for understanding the area's historical roots and local legends.
