Benasque Essentials

Benasque serves as the gateway to the highest reaches of the Pyrenees, centered around the 3,404-meter Aneto peak. This list highlights the valley's unique geological features, including the Forau d'Aigualluts karst sinkhole where glacial waters disappear underground to emerge in the Val d'Aran. It features high-altitude landmarks like the Port de Benasque pass to France, 16th-century Renaissance architecture in the town center, and the Aramón Cerler ski resort, the highest in the Aragonese Pyrenees.
