Natural Wonders of Bosnia and Herzegovina
Bosnia and Herzegovina’s landscape is defined by its karst topography and diverse ecosystems. This collection features the Kravica Waterfall’s tufa cascades on the Trebižat River and Vjetrenica, the world’s most biodiverse cave. High-altitude highlights include the glacial Prokoško Lake on Vranica Mountain and the 100-kilometer-long Dinara range. Natural Monument Prokoško Lake
Glacial lake situated 1,636 meters above sea level on Vranica Mountain. It is a habitat for the endemic Triton salamander and is surrounded by traditional wooden shepherd huts, or "katuni," reflecting centuries-old mountain pastoral life.
