Wineries & Vineyards

The Cape Winelands feature a concentration of historic estates spanning Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, and Tulbagh. Many of these sites, such as Rustenberg and Twee Jonge Gezellen, maintain 17th and 18th-century Cape Dutch architecture. Delaire Graff Estate

Situated on the Helshoogte Pass, this estate combines high-altitude vineyards with a significant contemporary South African art collection and landscaped botanical gardens.

Kanonkop Estate

Located on the lower slopes of the Simonsberg Mountain, this estate is recognized for its Pinotage and uses traditional open concrete fermenters for its red wine production.

Rustenberg Wines

Founded in 1682, this historic estate features classic Cape Dutch architecture and the Schoongezicht garden. It produces site-specific wines from the slopes of the Simonsberg.

Holden Manz

A boutique winery in the Franschhoek Valley specializing in Cabernet Franc. The estate includes an on-site art gallery and a tasting room overlooking the Franschhoek mountains.

Alto Wine lands

Established in 1919 on the Helderberg slopes in Stellenbosch, this estate focuses exclusively on red cultivars, particularly Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz.

Haute Cabriere

This Franschhoek estate specializes in Chardonnay and Pinot Noir blends. The tasting room and restaurant are built into a cellar carved directly into the mountainside.

Weltevrede

A family-owned estate known for Chardonnay. It offers guided tours through historic underground maturation vaults and candlelit tasting rooms.

Krone Twee Jonge Gezellen

Located in Tulbagh, this farm dates to 1710 and specializes in vintage Méthode Cap Classique produced using traditional night-harvesting techniques.
