Thailand's Top Beaches

This collection spans the Chon Buri coastline, from the urban hub of Pattaya to the military-managed shores of Sattahip. It includes Bang Saen, a popular weekend destination for Bangkok residents, and Koh Si Chang’s Thamkhaophang. Notable sites include Sai Kaew Beach, known for its navy-regulated access and clear waters, and the southern tip of Koh Larn at Nuan Beach, which is home to a local macaque population. These coastal spots offer diverse environments ranging from high-rise city backdrops to secluded bays accessible by ferry.

Pattaya Beach

The best known beach of Pattaya, you cannot visit Pattaya and not go to this beach.

Jomtien Beach

Jomtien or Jomtien Beach is a town on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand about 165 km south-east of Bangkok in Chonburi Province.

Bang Saen Beach

If you want to go to a beach close to Bangkok, this white natural gem is the best option. Not many foreigners come here.

Nangrong Beach of fascists

Located in Sattahip and managed by the Royal Thai Navy, this beach features pine trees for shade and calm, shallow waters. It sits adjacent to the more crowded Nang Ram Beach.

Thamkhaophang Beach

The primary swimming beach on the western side of Koh Si Chang, characterized by limestone caves and rocky outcrops. It is a notable location for viewing sunsets over the Gulf of Thailand.

Wong Prachan Beach

A secluded cove in North Pattaya situated near the Sanctuary of Truth. It offers a quieter alternative to the main Pattaya bay, with several upscale resorts bordering the sand.

Sai Kaew Beach

Known as Military Beach, this white-sand bay is situated within a naval base. Access requires passing through a security checkpoint and paying a small entry fee for maintenance of its facilities.

Nuan (Nual, Monkey) Beach

Situated at the southern end of Koh Larn, this beach is inhabited by a colony of wild macaques. The area is popular for snorkeling due to the coral formations near the shore.

Crescent Moon Beach

A small, crescent-shaped bay in the Naklua area. It provides a tranquil setting with views of the nearby wooden Sanctuary of Truth temple to the north.

Ban Amphur Beach

A wide beach south of Jomtien known for its fishing village atmosphere, a long walkable jetty, and numerous local seafood restaurants located directly on the waterfront.

Ban Bpoop Beach

A quiet stretch of coastline located between Ban Amphur and Bang Saray, primarily used by local residents and guests of nearby low-rise residential developments.

Kearea Beach

A small, rocky beach on the western coast of Koh Larn. It is one of the island's least developed shores, offering a secluded environment away from the main tourist ferry piers.
