Historic Sugar Estates

Grand-Bourg’s landscape is defined by its legacy as a major sugar production hub on the island of Marie-Galante. This collection features the remains of 18th and 19th-century estates, including the Habitation Murat, which was once the largest plantation in Guadeloupe. These sites showcase well-preserved stone windmills, manor houses, and industrial ruins like those at Roussel-Trianon.
