Guatemala's Parks & Recreation

Guatemala’s recreational spaces range from historic urban squares like Plaza de la Constitución and Antigua’s Central Park to the expansive IRTRA complexes in Retalhuleu. The IRTRA parks—Xetulul, Xocomil, and Xejuyup—feature architecture inspired by Mayan and European landmarks alongside extensive water slides and amusement rides. In Guatemala City, Mundo Petapa offers roller coasters and a small zoo, while neighborhood parks like Parque Colón provide green spaces within the capital's historic district.
