Kornwerderzand Bunkers

It is renowned as the only location where the Dutch army successfully halted the German land advance during the 1940 invasion. The site features a complex of heavy concrete casemates, including machine gun and cannon positions, alongside later German additions like anti-aircraft batteries and artillery bunkers built during the occupation.
