Hokkaido's Best Hot Springs
Hokkaido's geothermal landscape offers a diverse range of bathing experiences, from Japan’s northernmost springs in Wakkanai to the island’s oldest thermal retreat at Shirane Onsen, which dates back to the 14th century. This selection includes the rare oil-rich waters of Toyotomi, coastal pools at Mizunashi-kaihin that appear only at low tide, and the iodine-concentrated baths of Bansei.
