Honduras's historical landscape spans from the Pre-Columbian era to the colonial period. This collection features the 18th-century Fortaleza de San Fernando in Omoa and the Santa Bárbara fortress in Trujillo, which once defended the coast against pirates. Ancient Mayan and Lenca influences are preserved at the El Puente archaeological site and Los Naranjos near Lake Yojoa.
