Peaks and Alpine Refuges

Monte Terminillo

Rifugio Vincenzo Sebastiani

Alpine hut situated at 2,102 meters in the Sirente-Velino Regional Park. Built in 1922 and managed by CAI Rome, it includes a winter room and serves as a base for climbing Monte Velino and Pizzo Cafornia.

Rifugio Angelo Sebastiani

Alpine-style refuge located at 1,820 meters on the southern slope of Monte Terminillo. Accessible by car, it serves as a primary starting point for summit trails and provides facilities including drinking water and public toilets.

Sella di Leonessa

High mountain pass at an elevation of 1,895 meters connecting Rieti and Leonessa. It is the highest point of the road traversing the Terminillo massif and is a frequent feature in professional cycling races.

Passo della Torrita

A mountain pass reaching 1,010 meters along the Via Salaria. It marks the highest point of this historic Roman road and serves as the watershed between the Tyrrhenian and Adriatic basins.
