Jajce's Unmissable Treasures

Jajce is a historical crossroads where the Pliva and Vrbas rivers meet at a 22-meter waterfall. The town's medieval core features a hilltop fortress once serving as the seat of Bosnian kings and the 15th-century St. Luke’s bell tower. Visitors can explore ancient Roman heritage at the Mithraic temple and sarcophagi, or visit the AVNOJ Museum, the 1943 birthplace of socialist Yugoslavia. Nearby, a collection of small wooden watermills illustrates traditional grain-grinding methods used since the Middle Ages.
