This collection highlights the diverse historical layers of Jujuy, centered on the UNESCO-listed Quebrada de Humahuaca. The sites span from the pre-Hispanic stone fortifications of Pucará de Rinconada to the 18th-century colonial seat of the Marquis of Tojo in Yavi. In the town of Humahuaca, the Monument to the Heroes of Independence and the colonial Torre de Santa Bárbara commemorate the region's pivotal role in South American liberation struggles and its early missionary heritage.
