Notable Religious Sites
La Palma's religious landscape is defined by colonial architecture, Mudejar-style coffered ceilings, and rare Flemish artworks. This collection features significant Catholic sites ranging from the island's primary pilgrimage destination, the Santuario de Nuestra Señora de Las Nieves, to 16th-century Renaissance churches in Santa Cruz and rural hermitages in Garafía. Many of these structures house valuable Baroque altarpieces and terracotta figures that reflect the island's historical maritime connections with Northern Europe and mainland Spain.
