Ламбарене

Lambaréné Essentials

Lambaréné is defined by the humanitarian work of Dr. Albert Schweitzer, who established his mission hospital here in 1913. This list centers on the Schweitzer historic site, including the original medical buildings and a museum housing his personal belongings and medical instruments. Beyond the hospital, the area features the Eglise Protestante, reflecting the town's missionary history, and the local Materiaux Market. Situated along the Ogooué River, these sites provide insight into the colonial-era medical history and religious heritage of Gabon's Moyen-Ogooué province.
