Lednice-Valtice UNESCO Landscape

The Lednice-Valtice Cultural Landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage site, represents one of Europe's largest artificial landscapes. Shaped by the Liechtenstein family between the 17th and 20th centuries, it integrates the Neo-Gothic Lednice Château and the Baroque Valtice Château with an expansive English park. The grounds are characterized by romantic follies, including the 60-meter-tall Moorish Minaret, the neoclassical Temple of Apollo, and several summer houses connected by scenic paths and a sophisticated system of ponds.

Neoclassical temple built between 1817 and 1819, designed by Joseph Kornhäusel. Located on the shores of Mlýnský pond, it features a relief of the sun god Apollo and serves as a scenic viewpoint over the surrounding landscape.

A Classicist building completed in 1816 by architect Joseph Kornhäusel. Situated on the northern shore of Prostřední pond, it historically served as a base for hunting and currently houses a biological research station.

A Classicist summer house built between 1816 and 1827 on the historic border between Moravia and Lower Austria. The building's facade bears an inscription marking this former boundary between the two lands.
