Iconic Mountain Peaks

This selection features the most significant summits of the Low Tatras and the adjacent Starohorské vrchy. Ďumbier stands as the highest point of the range at 2,043 meters, while Kráľova hoľa serves as a major landmark of the eastern section, topped by a distinctive television transmitter. The list includes the rocky crest of Dereše and Kotliská, situated along the main ridge trail. These peaks provide expansive views across the Horehronie region and the High Tatras to the north.

Kráľova hoľa

Kráľova hoľa is the highest mountain of the eastern part of the Low Tatras in central Slovakia.

Ďumbier

Ďumbier is the highest mountain in the Low Tatra range, in central Slovakia.

Dereše

Dereše is the third highest peak of the Low Tatra range, in central Slovakia.

Kotliská

A peak reaching 1,937 meters on the main ridge of the Low Tatras. It is situated between the summits of Poľana and Chabenec, overlooking the Krpáčovo valley.

Kozí chrbát

The highest peak of the Starohorské vrchy range at 1,330 meters. Located above the village of Moštenica, it forms part of the main ridge connecting the Low Tatras with the Great Fatra.
