Historic Churches of Madrid

Madrid’s ecclesiastical history is preserved in its diverse architectural styles, from the 16th-century Gothic-Renaissance of San Jerónimo el Real to the 18th-century Italianate Baroque of St. Michael's Basilica. This selection includes the royal Convent of Las Descalzas Reales, home to significant Renaissance art, and San Antonio de los Alemanes, famous for its entirely frescoed interior.
