This collection features the prominent summits and high-altitude crossings of the Maramureș and Rodna Mountains. It includes Pietrosul Rodnei, the highest point in the Eastern Carpathians at 2,303 meters, and the distinct volcanic formation of Creasta Cocoșului. These peaks span the Romanian-Ukrainian border, offering diverse geological features from glacial cirques in the Rodna range to the rugged andesite ridges of the Gutâi Mountains. The list also covers strategic passes like Prislop and Șetref, which connect Maramureș to neighboring Bukovina and Transylvania.
