Provincia de Misiones: The Absolute Essentials

Provincia de Misiones is defined by the red earth of the Paranaense rainforest and its two UNESCO World Heritage designations. The Iguazú Falls, including the massive Devil’s Throat, mark the border with Brazil. To the south, the 17th-century Jesuit-Guaraní missions like San Ignacio Miní and Santa María la Mayor offer a glimpse into colonial history and Baroque-Guaraní architecture. The province also features the Saltos del Moconá, a unique three-kilometer-long longitudinal waterfall system along the Uruguay River.
