North Macedonia's landscape is defined by the high peaks of the Šar and Korab mountains, including the country's highest point at Mount Korab (2,764 m). This region features significant hydrological sites such as the tri-border Lake Prespa and Smolare Falls, the nation's tallest waterfall at 39.5 meters. Notable geological and religious features include the glacial Bogovinje Lake and the 14th-century cave church of St. Stephen, set within the limestone cliffs of the Galičica massif.
