Oaxaca Ancient Ruins

This collection focuses on the central archaeological core of Monte Albán, the pre-eminent Zapotec capital. The list includes the Main Plaza's monumental structures, such as the arrow-shaped Building J observatory and the North Platform’s ceremonial complexes. Visitors can explore burial chambers like Tomb 104 and Tomb 105, alongside the "Danzantes" stone reliefs at Building L. These ruins demonstrate the advanced urban planning and astronomical knowledge of the Oaxacan highlands from 500 BCE to 800 CE.
