Oudong Essentials

Oudong served as Cambodia’s royal capital from 1618 to 1866. This collection features the historic sites concentrated around the Phnom Udong hill, including the royal necropolis where several monarchs are entombed in ornate stupas. The list covers significant Buddhist landmarks like the Vipassana Dhura meditation center and temples housing monumental Buddha statues, alongside a memorial dedicated to victims of the Khmer Rouge era.

Phnom Udong

Ariyakassap Pagoda

Vihear Preah Ath Roes

Temple known for the 18-cubit Buddha. The original 16th-century statue was largely destroyed during the Khmer Rouge era but has since been reconstructed within the temple ruins.

Known as the Old Palace Temple, this site marks the location of the former royal residence and contains several historical structures and religious statues.

Chey Uddom Pagoda
