Historic Churches & Monasteries

Poros' spiritual landscape is anchored by the 18th-century Monastery of Zoodochos Pigi, which houses a notable wood-carved iconostasis and the tombs of Greek War of Independence heroes. The island is dotted with traditional Greek Orthodox chapels, such as the Cathedral of Euangelismos Theotokou, known for its murals by Konstantinos Parthenis. These sites showcase classic whitewashed architecture and offer quiet reflection points with views over the Saronic Gulf and the Peloponnese coast.
