Punilla Valley Peaks & Views

Punilla Valley's landscape is defined by the Sierras Chicas mountain range, featuring diverse geological formations and high-altitude viewpoints. This selection includes Mount Uritorco, the range's highest summit at 1,979 meters, and the distinct red sandstone towers of Los Terrones. Visitors can access panoramic vistas through the Cuchi Corral paragliding ramp and the 115-meter Cascada los Chorrillos. These sites offer a mix of rugged trekking trails, cable car access, and natural balconies overlooking the Pintos River.

Uritorco

The highest peak in the Sierras Chicas at 1,979 meters. Known for its rugged trekking trails and cultural associations with extraterrestrial phenomena and indigenous Comechingón history.

Mirador Cuchi Corral

A natural cliff and 400-meter drop used as a primary launch site for paragliding and hang gliding. It offers expansive views over the Pintos River valley.

Cerro Pan de Azúcar

Standing at 1,260 meters, this peak features a chairlift that reaches the summit. The base houses a monument to tango singer Carlos Gardel.

Los Terrones

A park featuring massive red sandstone formations carved by wind and water erosion. Guided circuits lead through canyons and narrow passages of significant geological interest.

Cerro Mogote

Also known as Mogote de los Congos, this peak in the southern Sierras Chicas offers views of San Roque Lake and the surrounding valley landscape.

Cerro Las Gemelas

Twin peaks located near Capilla del Monte. Accessible via a chairlift or hiking trails, providing a 360-degree view of Mount Uritorco and the Calabalumba River.

Cerro La Banderita

A 1,450-meter peak near La Falda. A popular trekking destination, the summit provides views of the historic Eden Hotel and the Punilla Valley floor.

Cascada los Chorrillos

Located within a private reserve near Tanti, this 115-meter waterfall is one of the highest in Córdoba province. The site is reached via a 7-kilometer trekking trail.

Mirador La espina

A viewpoint located along the scenic route between Capilla del Monte and Ongamira, offering vistas of the rugged northern Punilla landscapes.
