Razavi Khorasan Province contains a diverse collection of Islamic architecture and spiritual sites, ranging from the unique earthquake-resistant Wooden Mosque in Nishapur to ancient congregational mosques. The region is defined by its connection to the Imam Reza lineage, featuring numerous imamzadehs (shrines) such as those of Yasir, Nasir, and Muhammad Abid. Architectural highlights include the 14th-century Sabzevar Musalla and historic Jameh mosques in Bidokht and Sheshtamad, reflecting centuries of Shia heritage and Persian construction techniques.
