Provincia de Río Negro: Unmissable Patagonian Wonders

Río Negro spans from the Andes to the Atlantic, featuring the 3,478-meter Cerro Tronador and its distinctive black glacier, Ventisquero Negro. The region contains the glacial lakes of Nahuel Huapi National Park, including Lago Gutiérrez and the emerald-colored Lago Frías. To the east, the Meseta de Somuncurá offers a vast basaltic plateau, while the San Antonio Bay provides access to the San Matías Gulf. The province also serves as a hub for hydroelectric power with the Piedra del Águila Dam and the Casa de Piedra reservoir on the Colorado River.
