Best Beaches
Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat features a variety of coastal spots ranging from the sandy shores of Plage de Passable, overlooking the Rade de Villefranche, to the gravel inlets of Plage Paloma and Plage des Fossettes. These beaches are connected by the Sentier du Littoral, a coastal path encircling the peninsula. While Plage du Cros Dei Pin serves as the central village beach with amenities, more secluded options like the Plate-forme nudiste offer privacy on the rocky southern coastline.
Plage des Fossettes
Located on the Pointe de Saint-Hospice, this gravel beach is situated below the botanical path. It is known for its clear waters and proximity to the 11th-century Chapelle de Saint-Hospice.
Plage Paloma Beach
Named after Paloma Picasso, this gravel beach offers views across the bay to Beaulieu-sur-Mer and Eze. It features both a public area and a private beach club established in 1948.
Plage de Passable
A sandy beach on the western side of the peninsula providing views of Villefranche-sur-Mer. Due to its orientation, it receives significant afternoon sun and is sheltered from easterly winds.
Plage des Fosses
This south-facing gravel beach is one of the largest on the peninsula. It is a frequent spot for snorkeling and sits near the start of the coastal trail leading toward the lighthouse.
Plage du Cros Dei Pin
Located adjacent to the port, this is the main village beach. It consists of fine gravel and includes public facilities such as a children's play area and beach volleyball court.
Plage de Grasseuil
A narrow beach located at the northern entrance of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, bordering the coastal road leading toward Beaulieu-sur-Mer.
Plate-forme nudiste
A designated naturist area consisting of concrete platforms and rocky outcrops on the southwestern coast, accessible via the Sentier du Littoral.
