Шладминг
Schladming is an old mining town in the Enns valley in Styria, at the foot of the Dachstein massif. It is the centre of the Schladming-Dachstein region, one of Austria's largest ski and hiking areas. Four ski mountains surround the town: Planai, Hochwurzen, Hauser Kaibling and Reiteralm.
The town hosts a famous night slalom on the Planai every January. In summer it is a base for hiking, cycling and the Dachstein glacier.

December to March is ski season, and the January night race draws crowds. June to September is best for hiking, mountain biking and glacier trips. April–May and October–November are quiet. Winters are cold and snowy.
