Siklósi járás Must-Sees

The Siklósi region in southern Hungary features a mix of medieval fortifications, Ottoman architecture, and thermal wellness facilities. Centered around the well-preserved Castle of Siklós and the sulfurous medicinal waters of Harkány, the area also hosts the Máriagyűd pilgrimage basilica, one of the country's oldest shrines. Visitors can explore the unique "devil-plowed" limestone formations of Szársomlyó Hill or visit multiple observation towers on the Tenkes and Csukma ridges, which offer clear views across the Drava plain toward the Croatian border.
