Šolta Essentials

Šolta's landscape is defined by its defensive history and agricultural traditions. This selection includes the 18th-century Martinis Marchi castle in Maslinica and the fortified Kaštel Slavić in Grohote. Visitors can explore the island's maritime heritage via the shallow shipwreck of the Kontesa in Nečujam or sample indigenous olive oil varieties at the Olynthia mill. The list also covers the gravel shores of Veli Dolac and the traditional waterfront dining of Stomorska, the island's oldest port.
