Tasmania's Best Waterfalls

Tasmania's diverse topography supports a high concentration of waterfalls, from the 104-meter plunge of Montezuma Falls to the unique hexagonal basalt columns of Dip Falls. These sites span the island’s varied ecosystems, including the UNESCO World Heritage Tasmanian Wilderness, the temperate rainforests of the north, and the rugged West Coast. Many falls, such as Liffey Falls and St Columba Falls, are reached via walking tracks through ancient fern glades, providing access to the state's significant river systems and geological formations.
