Tomar Heritage Sites

Tomar’s heritage spans from Roman foundations to the era of the Knights Templar. This collection features the 15th-century Manueline Church of Saint John the Baptist and the medieval Synagogue of Tomar, one of the best-preserved in Portugal. The list includes the Roman Forum ruins of ancient Sellium, the industrial dam of the city's historic spinning factory, and the monumental staircase of Nossa Senhora da Piedade.
