Utrecht’s cultural landscape spans from the UNESCO-listed Rietveld Schröder House, a masterpiece of De Stijl architecture, to the world’s largest collection of self-playing musical instruments at Museum Speelklok. The city hosts the Centraal Museum, the oldest municipal museum in the Netherlands, and Museum Catharijneconvent, which houses a vast collection of medieval religious art. Specialized sites include the National Railway Museum, set in a restored 19th-century station, and the family-oriented Miffy Museum, dedicated to the work of Dick Bruna.
