Lakes and Wetlands

Värmland’s landscape is defined by its extensive network of waterways, primarily belonging to the Göta älv drainage basin. This collection highlights the region's diverse aquatic environments, ranging from the expansive Övre Fryken in the Fryksdalen valley to Stor-Ullen, a vital drinking water reservoir for Hagfors. These lakes and glacial tarns span several municipalities, including Storfors and Arvika, supporting local ecosystems and providing habitats for regional flora and fauna.
