The market was originally built in the early 20th century and reconstructed in 1949. It is a covered indoor market known for a wide variety of fresh food products including fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, and wines. Since 2014, it includes a food court with restaurants, bars, and pizzerias, combining shopping with dining services. The building was designed by Arturo Carpi and serves as a notable site for local gastronomic traditions and cultural events.
