Царский дворец

The building served as the official residence for sovereigns from 1879 until 1946. Construction began around 1880, resulting in a prominent example of fin-de-siècle palace architecture in the Balkans. The structure is designed in the Neoclassical style and is recognized as a national monument.

The former royal residence has been repurposed to house two major cultural institutions. One section contains the National Gallery, while another part of the building is dedicated to the National Ethnographic Museum. These institutions preserve royal history and cultural heritage.

The palace is a significant architectural landmark that is open to the public. It serves as a historical record of the transition from a monarchy to its current status as a museum compound.
