Chimay Unmissables

Chimay is defined by its centuries-old Trappist heritage and noble history. The Castle of Chimay, owned by the Prince of Chimay, features a private theater modeled after Fontainebleau. Scourmont Abbey produces world-renowned Trappist beers and cheeses, with the Chimay Experience museum providing insight into their monastic brewing traditions. The town center includes the 16th-century Église Saints-Pierre et Paul and the Abbaye Notre-Dame de la Paix, a monastery for Trappistine nuns.
