Kanazawa Museums & Galleries

Kanazawa and the surrounding Ishikawa Prefecture preserve a wide range of cultural heritage, from the contemporary installations of the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art to the traditional Kaga-style crafts at the Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of Art. The collection includes specialized sites like the Yasue Gold Leaf Museum, the Nagamachi Yuzenkan for silk dyeing, and the Seisonkaku Villa. Beyond the city center, visitors can explore the history of Japanese manufacturing and natural sciences at the Motorcar Museum of Japan and the Nakaya Ukichiro Museum of Snow and Ice.
