Öland's Essential Treasures

Öland’s landscape is defined by the UNESCO-listed agricultural plains of the south and a series of Iron Age ringforts, including Eketorp, Ismantorp, and Gråborg. The island’s history is preserved in the 13th-century ruins of Borgholm Castle, the royal gardens of Solliden Palace, and the expansive Gettlinge burial site. Natural landmarks include the 18th-century Långe Jan lighthouse at the southern cape and the white sands of Böda Beach to the north.
