Historic Heritage Sites

Salzburg's architectural history spans from the UNESCO-listed Mirabell Palace, renowned for its Baroque gardens and marble hall, to the Mozart Residence, which displays the composer's original letters and scores. The surrounding region features several medieval fortifications, including the 12th-century ruins of Burgruine Haunsperg and the hilltop remains of Ruine Thürndl. Further south, the high-altitude Finstergrün Castle stands at 1,087 meters, functioning today as a unique hostel and heritage site.
