Provincia de Santa Cruz Essentials

Provincia de Santa Cruz encompasses the diverse landscapes of southern Patagonia, from the arid steppe to the Southern Patagonian Ice Field. The region features the Cueva de las Manos, which contains rock art dating back 9,000 years, and the massive glaciers of the Andes. Along the Atlantic coast, the province protects significant wildlife colonies at Monte León and Cabo Blanco. This selection highlights the area's transition from high-altitude granite spires and glacial lakes like Viedma to the historical and industrial heritage of its capital, Río Gallegos.
